Starting a series

From: froggiesgirl78 (ckopp1@gmail.com) | Date: 2010-03-28 23:30:11 UTC
I'm planning on doing a series this week, that'll be 13 different letterboxes, and they all work together, but each could stand alone on it's own. Once you have all 13, it would all work together, just like a jigsaw puzzle. Not sure I'm explaining this the right way. What's the best way to do this? I've done one before that had two stmps in it and I just did one posting on AQ. Should I do 13 different clues on AQ? Each box will have it's own clue and each box will be spread out around the city. If someone wanted to find all 13 in one day they could easly do it, but I'm not sure how many people would want to do that. Any suggestions would be great!

There is a series in our area that I think is similar to what you are
describing. The planter has links from both LBNA and AQ to his own website
where he posts the clues. Here is what he has done:

Hi Froggies Girl
I have seen these series before, and I have a suggestion.

Since there are several parking locations, and you don't expect everyone to get all the boxes in one day for the most part, I would recommend one clue entry for each parking location. That way people can record their finds one at a time as they work to complete the series.

If they were all reached from one parking lot, then I would say one clue entry with multiple boxes. Or if it is planned for people to find all the boxes in a particular order within half a day, then one clue with multiple boxes.

Make the names of the clues start with the same words. That way people can find all the clues that make up the series by sorting alphabetically

Show a diagram of the completed size in each box so people can reserve a big enough space for the completed image.

We had a series in CT like that. When completed it showed the inage of a gazebo, and each box was at a gazebo.
